GIS Data Sources
All GIS data used for preparing maps (except for the Neuse River Land Use/Land Cover data) came from the City of Raleigh and Wake County GIS departments. The Neuse River Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) data was prepared by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). All data are North Carolina State Plane projection, North American Datum 1983, U.S. survey feet. All data are available to university users through NCSU libraries, which also maintains catalogs and descriptions of City of Raleigh and Wake County layers. (The library's Neuse River LULC page can be accessed here.)
