Study Site

The IFAFS study area is located at the Lower Coastal Plain Research Station. This station site is situated on 101.5 acres located 6.5 miles north of Kinston, NC. In 1985, the station inherited an additional 414 acres from the late Raymond P. Cunningham which has been named the Cunningham Research Station. A large portion of this land is located within the northern city limits of Kinston. The station office was transferred to this site in 1989 and is located in the Raymond P. Cunningham Center, serving as a regional research and extension center.
