Transfer Credits

Overview

  • Up to 12 credits may be transferred into a graduate program ("12 credit rule")
  • A grade of "B" or higher is required for all courses transferred
  • Transfer credits may come from graduate-level classes earned at another university
  • Credits earned before the student was admitted into a graduate program at NCSU (earned as a PBS student) may be transferred in as well, but these will be included in the "12 credit rule".
  • All credits transferred into the graduate program must have been earned within 6 years of graduation
